Today let’s talk
about HoO (Heroes of Olympus). So far we
have 3 out of the 5 books. And I have to
say, that when I first read the third person PoV (Point of View) I wasn’t sure how
I felt about it. I don’t know about y’all, but I was really uncertain about not
getting to read from Percy’s first person PoV.
But I as the books went on I fell in love with the third person
PoV. I love getting to read about Piper
and Annabeth and all the others describe Percy.
(And read from the other third person PoV.)
You realize while
reading that Percy was really down on himself.
I mean Piper herself described him as a god. Think about it would Percy ever describe
himself as a god? No. He wouldn’t. Percy thinks that he is corny and lucky just
to have Annabeth as his girlfriend. But
in reality he looks like a god.
I also have been
kind shocked reading HoO. And what I
mean by that is… Well, everyone (Percy and
Annabeth, but really Percy A LOT) seems so much older. Think about it. Percy didn’t make himself seem old. That just not how he pictured himself. Go back to The Last Olympian. Percy
was 16 then, but if you really think about it; he did make himself out to be
16. You knew he was 16, but you just
didn’t get that felling a lot. Now, we
have Annabeth and everyone else describing Percy he seems like he is his age (almost
17)… Or even older… I think to the fans
it is just a shock.
All that has been
on my mind for a while and I wanted to talk about it with some other fans ever
since MoA. If you understand this please
comment.

I believe Percy to be 17 or 18. But I feel the same way. He made himself sound so young in the previous books and then BOOM! he's 18 and talking about marrying Annabeth {not really, but he does techinaly ask her in the stable}So yeah I have the same feels!:(
ReplyDeleteI love how it makes Percy seem so much older(even though it's a shock).
