BoO Predictions

Hi everyone!    Are you excited?!?!   I'm excited!   Do you know why I am excited?   BoO is coming out in just 4 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  If that isn't a reason to celebrate,  I don't know what is?
Today I want to share my theories/predictions for BoO.    And, of course, everything I say will say is exactly what will happen and you have no reason to read BoO because I am just going to spoil it now.   Lol, obviously that is not true.   I am actually not good at making predictions.   I have one or two things that I feel like will happen a certain way, but everything else, my guess is just as good as yours.   That being said,  I am going to try to work through some theories, but I am not promising much.
Okay, here we go!   First thing I would like to disclose is Percy and Annabeth will not die.   Uncle Rick knows that he would be stupid to kill them.   They have been in both series and we have grown so attached to them that he knows there would be serious problems if he kills either of them.  That being said,  if I were writing a book similar to this, I would probably kill off one of the main characters because of the reason I just listed.   Does that make me Moffat? (Sorry if you aren't in any fandom that has Moffat as the writer.   Just ignore that.)
Killing of the main character isn't unheard of though.   John Greene and Veronica Roth both did it.  And Rick Riordan said that he was trying out some John Greene and Veronica Roth techniques in a tweet on twitter.
But I still feel that Percy and Annabeth are safe.   Well...they aren't safe safe, but they are safe from dying...
Anyway, moving on!   Actually I don't know where to go from here.   Ummm.   Let's do Reyna next.
Now, I know Reyna isn't part of the seven, but she had been included in this "who is going to die" debate, so I am going to include her.
I know a lot of you are going to really hate me for saying this, but I feel Reyna is going to die.   Why?   Well, mostly a gut feeling, but also you need to remember she is fighting in the war between the camp.   We only know a handful of people who are fighting in that war: Gover, Rachel, Reyna, Nico, and Octavian.  I know there are other that we could name like probably Dakota (ect.), but they are smaller characters.  It wouldn't be very realistic for no one to die in a war and while I think small characters will die Rick needs at least one main character to die.  I feel like it will be either Reyna or Nico.  If I had to pick one, I lean towards Reyna.   Again, mainly gut, but I feel like Nico is just starting to be accepted -or he is finally allowing himself to be accepted, however you want to look at that-something he has been trying to do for quite sometime.   I feel he is safe because of this.
Well that turned into a Nico/Reyna prediction so I am going to skip Nico and move on to Jason.
I am really not sure what to think about Jason.   He's just kinda there.  I like his character for the most part,  he isn't my favorite,  but I don't actually feel like he has pulled his weight as much as the others.   Before you hate me, hear me out.   He had his purpose in the beginning,  he and Percy bridged the gap between the two camps.   I actually like Jason more in The Lost Hero than I do going into book 5.  Actually that wasn't phrased correctly.  After The Lost Hero I thought Jason was going to be a stronger character than he's ended up.  Jason has had his moments of glory/usefulness,  but overall I feel like he is just there as part of the bridging of the two camps.   Maybe this book will prove me wrong.   I hope so.   I hope Jason will really step up in this book.   Hopefully, he will have his moment.
I want to repeat,   I like Jason.   I really do.   I just feel like he hasn't shined, at least in the last two books, as much as the majority of the rest of the Seven have.
Having said all that, my prediction for Jason is simple.    He will live.
Now my predictions for Piper.  I don't really know what is going to happen to her.   I think she is safe.   She doesn't seem to have a real reason to die.   She hasn't been for foreshadowed to die or anything.    I am not worried about Piper.
Okay, let's talk about Leo next.   I am nervous for Leo.   I feel like two of the Seven are going to die, and I feel Percy and Annabeth are safe and overall Jason and Piper are safe.  So that leaves Leo,  Hazel, and Frank.   I don't want any of them to die, but I feel like they are more likely to die.
Anyway, back to Leo.  He has the promise to Calypso which is very ominous.   I am 50, 50 on Leo.   I hope he doesn't die, but Uncle Rick set it up for Leo to at least be in grave danger.  We only have a few days left now to  find out though!  I don't know if I am excited or scared.
Hazel,   I can see Hazel dying, but I don't feel like she will.   She seems relatively safe.
Frank on the other hand, I don't think he will survive.   He has been foreshadowed to die quite a few times.   And Frank has the burning stick thing and I know from the actual myth that Atropos was actually killed because his mom put the stick into a fire after Atropos killed his mom's brothers (Yes, I know, messed up family.).  Because Atropos died and he and Frank both have the burning stick, I feel like Frank has the best chance of dying.

That's pretty much it for my predictions.   Please comment below and let me know your predictions.   You don't have to go through explaining why you think whatever it is if you don't won't to, but I would be really interested in hearing your predictions!

Thank you for reading!   Don't forget to comment below!

  1. I think four half-bloods will die. The prophecy, as you probably know, goes 'Seven Half-Bloods Shall Answer The Call' and so on. Usually there are only three demi-gods on a quest. I think seven will go but only three will come back. I think Reyna will probably die. I think she will die trying to save Jason because she wants to be with him but he is with Piper. She will probably die to save her only true love. I think Nico will live because he has something to prove because of what he admitted in the last book. Also because supposedly he has a POV in BOO and I think it would be poor writing skills if you kill off a narrator. If for some terrible reason he does die, I think it will be kind of like Reyna's death, he will try to save Percy. I agree that Frank will probably die because of his stick thing. I pray to the gods Leo lives because he and Calypso make the perfect couple. I do think that it might be awkward with Percy alive. I will probably cry if he dies because I will think of Calypso sitting on the beach every day watching for him and then eventually realizing he won't ever come back. I don't know what to think about Jason. Part of me wants him to live but part of me agrees with you. He isn't really a strong, important character. Piper, I think, has something to prove since she is a daughter of Aphrodite and almost everyone she meets thinks she just has looks and no value whatsoever. Annabeth and Percy will definitely live. The have to. No question about it. As for Hazel, I have a bad feeling about her. I think she will die because when she died the first time, she died a hero. I think she will try to be a hero again and that will be what kills her. I think that might be her fatal flaw. Since I said four will die I will tell you who they are: Jason, Hazel, Frank, Reyna(even though she isn't part of the seven) and Leo.

    1. Thank you so much for commenting! It has really made my day!
I have already read the book so I can't discuss this with you because I don't want to accidentally give you any spoilers. Again thank you for commenting. Have a great day!
