Thalia is a GREAT and strong character. She is not too scared of monsters of any kind; she laughs in the face of any
sort of. However, she is afraid of some things
like heights for example. In the third book,
Percy, Annabeth, and Thalia went to Westover Hall and she acted like it was just another walk in the park. I
know that she did have to deal with monsters for a while on her own, but before
she even got to camp she was turned in to a tree which means that she didn’t
have lots of training.
Thalia’s fear of heights is pretty weird for a child of Zeus, but
I challenge you to imagine Thalia without that fear. She is not the same.
It was a good and smart decision for Thalia to become a
huntress. Most of the huntresses don’t seem to be scared easily and Thalia fits
right in with them. I hope that Thalia and the huntresses come into the story
and help really soon (I would take getting Percabeth out of Tarterus over that
though).
