House of Hades Review!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Where to start?  There is so much to say.

Oh! I know.  Let's start with the dedication.  ('To my wonderful readers:  Sorry about the last cliff-hanger.  Well, no, not really. HAHAHAHA. But seriously, I love you guys')  *rolls eyes*  Was that supposed to help?

Moving along.  I have to say that I really kind of enjoyed the Tartarus scenes.  I don't like Tartarus because  "Percabeth!!!!!!!!!  My babies!!!!!!!!!!  I missed you two SO much!!!!!!!!!!!".   I enjoyed Tartarus because it was very interesting to learn about.  We go the entire series reading about Tartarus, so finally reading about it was very fascinating.  Tartarus is so creepy and scary that it is really cool.  I also really loved some of the previous monsters Uncle Rick brought back.  I did love reading about Percy and Annabeth surviving.  But, like I said, it is not because "Percabeth!!!!!!!!!  My babies!!!!!!!!!".  I was happy to read about Percy and Annabeth coping with everything that was thrown at them.  As soon as they land in Tartarus they instantly start formulating a plan for survival.  That is why Percy and Annabeth are my favorite characters.  They are amazingly awesome, wonderful, strong people. They made the best out of their situation.  Here is a photo of Perabeth in tartarus:

"Percy, I need a break." panted Annabeth. Percy looked around them, checking the area for monsters. "Okay, but only for a bit. We don't want to get ambushed." They sat down with their backs touching the others, because that whats they've always done, watched each others back.
  Not sure who gets credit.

Shifting gears to the Argo II.  I knew that the rest of the seven relied on Percy and Annabeth, but how much was a little surprising.  I am not saying Piper, Hazel, Frank, and Jason are weak and need Percy and Annabeth for everything; I just think Percy and Annabeth being the oldest, most experienced demi-gods naturally take the lead, so Percabeth being in Tartarus really gave the others a chance to shine.

Take Frank for example, he really stepped up in this book.  He gained like 1,000+ points in my book.  While Frank never made my top 5 favorite characters, I never disliked him.

What to talk about next?  I know!  I bet y'all have been waiting for this.  I know you want to discuss that and I am not going to keep you waiting, but I really want to know how badly you like this?  How much do you want to talk about this?  I bet you squealed like a true fangirl/fanboy, but at the same time maybe you fangirls started to cry knowing that you could no longer have him?  I bet you were very happy for him though.  :) No, I am not talking about Nico.  Since, y'all have been so patient while I trolled y'all, I will now let you know to what I am referring.  It can be summed up with one ship name.  You know it, Caleo!!!!!!!!!!  I am SO a shipper of Caleo.  I love this ship.  Second best ship after Percabeth!  I just love the whole Leo and Calypso on Ogygia.  I've got to say that I love that Leo promised to come back to Ogygia for her despite the "Oath to keep with final breath" problem.  It is just SO uggg....  Caleo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Hey, you know what, just for fun here is a Caleo drawing:

Calypso and Leo. When I first read when they meet. I silent whispered: I ship it...

I don't know who to give credit to though.  :(

Okay,  now what all you Team Nico fans have been waiting for, Nico time.  After MoA, I was expecting Nico to step up a bit, but he seemed really removed from everyone most of the time.  I thought Percy telling Nico that he's in charge now would cause Nico to step up.  That being said, Nico had his moments, but overall, I was expecting him to "put his big boy pants on", so I was slightly upset that he was more of a passerby in parts.  Now to the Nico discussion y'all really want to have.  If you have been reading this post, I hope you have already read HoH and I am not giving you any spoilers (if you haven't read HoH, don't complain bout spoilers).  The fact that Nico is gay doesn't really affect me at all. I don't really care. It doesn't affect my view about Nico.  My only problem is that it seemed to come from nowhere.  Maybe I missed a whole bunch of clues between book 3 and HoO.  Guess I have to go back and re-read 3 through HoH now.  Here is a drawing of Nico:
krkrandcat: The Lonely King Nico di Angelo. I feel so much for this kid. I’m not done with The House of Hades yet, but man, he needs some love. That book made me cry the other day. Please stop picking on my favorite character.
   Again don't know the artist.

This is going to be all for now.  I will have a post with a photo of my singed HoH book that I ordered from Blue Willow Book Shop in Austin, TX and my Percy Jackson dedicated book shelf.  I will also have a post with a few quotes and some of my favorite moments from HoH, so stay tuned!

Please comment below about your views on HoH and  any direct questions you want to ask me.  Lastly, if you went to a tour stop, please tell me about it below; I didn't get to go this year.  :(

  Thanks so much!
